Community Activities

Social Activities

 There are ample opportunities to socialize with community neighbors

  • First Friday Social Events are held at Cove Creek's Breeze House and local       restaurants throughout the year

  • Community-wide progressive dinners are held in the summer and during
    the winter holiday season.

  • The Cove Creek Women's Association hosts new residents welcome
    coffee's, fascinating speakers at their quarterly meetings and a myriad of community events

  • The Cove Creek Yacht Club travels to St. Michael's for dinner or up the Eastern Bay to the Wye River to enjoy nature---residents without boats can belong to the Yacht Club!

  • Men's poker night once a month in the Clubhouse

  • At Halloween, the younger residents don their costumes and head to the clubhouse for a pizza-party followed by trick or treating through the development via golf carts

  • The annual Margaritaville social in June when residents enjoy dinner and beverages in the breeze house while listening to local musicians--dancing, optional!Margaritaville

  • Wednesday night bocce matches in the summer


More Social  Activities

  • A community-wide holiday party in early December where we light the
    tree right inside the entrance to Cove Creek, sing carols, enjoy a potluck
    dinner and a program from the younger residents

  •                                  

  • The Cove Creek Book Club meets once a month in the Clubhouse

  •  Golf tournaments for men, women and doubles---often ending with dinners

Community Involvement

  • Once a week, residents send home-baked cookies with one of our residents as he visits individuals at Walter Reed who have just returned from serving our country.

  • In the late summer-early fall, the Cove Creek community hosts a golf-outing for recent returnees from the Middle East.

  • In early November, residents contribute non-perishable goods for Thanksgiving baskets.

  • During the month of December, residents voluntarily participate in the Adopt-A-Bear program. Residents purchase gifts for needy children.

  • The United Communities Volunteer Fire Department provides local fire and ambulance service for the area and they are always looking for new members to serve as firefighters, drivers and auxiliary members.
